Multiple people hospitalized in deadly L.A. crash
One person is dead and three more were injured in a multi-car crash in Hawthorne Sunday. The Hawthorne Police Department said the crash happened at the intersection of Imperial Highway and Inglewood Avenue at 11:49 a.m. Authorities responded to the scene and found four significantly damaged vehicles and multiple people suffering from injuries. Firefighters with the Los Angeles County Fire Department had to extricate two of the victims from the wreckage. Two people injured in the crash were listed in extremely critical condition. One of those patients died after arriving at the hospital. Two other patients were also hospitalized with injuries. The Hawthorne Police Department is investigating the cause of the crash.
