Multiple crashes close SR-94 lanes near Home Ave and I-805 connect

SAN DIEGO (FOX 5/KUSI) -- Several collisions along the westbound and eastbound lanes of State Route 94 have left traffic at a standstill near Home Avenue, as well as near the Interstate 805 connection. Crews responded around 4:48 p.m. to a silver vehicle that appears to have overturned in the middle westbound lanes of SR-94 near Home Avenue. When FOX 5/KUSI arrived at the scene, a silver vehicle was seen turned on its side in the middle lanes of State Route 94. Several police vehicles and a tow truck were seen responding to what appears to be a single-vehicle crash. Several lanes of the freeway were closed as officers responded to the crash, and at around 6:30 p.m., most lanes appear to have reopened. It is unknown at this time if any injuries were sustained during the rollover collision. Meanwhile, at around 5:21 p.m., officers responded to another collision nearby on the eastbound lanes of SR-94, near the I-805 connection. The collision possibly involved two vehicles. One of the vehicles was seen on the side of the freeway with severe damage to the front end. It is unknown at this time if any injuries were sustained during the collision and what may have transpired to cause the crash.
