UPDATE: The cleanup operation on Interstate 70 in Vigo County, Indiana has been completed, following a series of car accidents caused by winter weather conditions. Indiana State Police, along with local authorities, worked on clearing the accidents that had occurred due to snow and ice, with no major injuries reported. The westbound lanes were temporarily closed as crews addressed the incidents, which were concentrated near mile marker 15. Drivers were advised to use alternate routes and avoid the affected area. Recommended exits were identified at mile marker 23, allowing drivers to utilize U.S. 40 or State Road 46 to return to the interstate. Commercial vehicles were discouraged from using State Road 42 due to its narrowness.
