Multi-vehicle crash shuts down I-40 in Putnam County
PUTNAM COUNTY, Tenn. (WKRN) — A multi-vehicle crash Saturday morning led to extended lane closures on Interstate 40 in Putnam County. According to the Tennessee Department of Transportation, the crash was reported shortly after 7 a.m. Saturday in the eastbound lanes of I-40 near mile marker 286. For over two hours, all eastbound lanes and one westbound lane remained closed. As of 9:30 a.m., all lanes were back open. No additional information was immediately released as the Tennessee Highway Patrol continues to investigate.
