Multi-vehicle crash, downed wires prompt road closure in Coventry

Authorities said three people were injured after a multi-vehicle crash brought down a utility pole on Monday. According to police, officers responded to 1395 Nooseneck Hill Road for a crash between two vehicles. Officials said two passenger vehicles collided on the roadway, causing one of the vehicles to strike a utility pole. The utility pole then collapsed onto a Rhode Island Public Transit Authority bus, police said. Police said the bus driver was not injured but could not leave the bus until Rhode Island Energy crews arrived at the scene. The bus did not have any passengers at the time.
