Multi-vehicle crash causes power outage in northeast Springfield

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. — A large crash involving several vehicles knocked down a utility pole on the road, causing power outages in the area. According to Springfield Police, the crash between two semitrucks and a Bronco occured on East Kearney Street and North Neergard Avenue earlier this afternoon. Reports say it was a tractor-trailer that hit the pole. The utility pole and lines are currently being cleaned up, but it could take a few hours. According to the City Utilities, about 200 customers are experiencing power outages. There are no reports of major injuries.
