Multi-vehicle crash causes closure on I-40 west of Albuquerque
ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – The Bernalillo County Sheriff's Office is on scene at a multi-vehicle crash west of Albuquerque on I-40 near the Route 66 Casino. According to BCSO, the westbound lanes of I-40 at mile marker 144 are closed at this time. Deputies are investigating and assisting on scene while fire and rescue crews work to extinguish the fire and treat multiple patients. BCSO also reports there is one fatality at this time. Drivers should seek alternate routes. No other information has been released at this time. KRQE News 13 will provide updates as more information is released.
