Mount Vernon crash turns deadly, KSP confirms
MOUNT VERNON, Ky. (FOX 56) — Kentucky State Police confirmed Saturday that a crash in Rockcastle County has turned fatal. The Mount Vernon Fire Department said on social media on April 18 that crews were at the scene of a serious crash at the intersection of Doc Adams Road and Lake Cumberland Road in Mount Vernon. Crews said that a vehicle and a semi truck crashed into each other. Lake Cumberland Road is shut down both ways from White Rock Road to Dysart Way. KSP Trooper Scottie Pennington said on Facebook that the KSP crash turned fatal. He said that the roadway remained closed and advised drivers to take an alternate route. This is a developing story.
