Motorcyclist killed in South Kingstown crash
SOUTH KINGSTOWN, R.I. (WPRI) — A 28-year-old man has died after a motorcycle crash in South Kingstown Tuesday night. Officers were called to Route 1 North in the area of Torrey Road around 10:15 p.m. The motorcyclist, identified as Michael D. Fletcher, died from his injuries, according to police. Investigators say no other vehicles were involved, and it appears that Fletcher lost control of his motorcycle south of the Tower Hill Fire Station. Speed is believed to be a factor in the crash, police said.
