Motorcyclist killed in Knox County crash
A 38-year-old Mount Vernon man is dead after a motorcycle crash in Berlin Township, according to the Ohio State Highway Patrol. Troopers said the crash happened Sunday morning. on Knox Lake Road near state Route 95 in Knox County. Steven D. Miller Jr., 38, was riding a 2012 Kawasaki Ninja 650 northbound on Knox Lake Road when he drove off the right side of the roadway, became separated from the motorcycle and struck a stationary object, the patrol said. Miller died at the scene. Troopers said he was wearing a helmet and that drugs and alcohol are not considered factors in the crash. The Ohio State Highway Patrol was assisted at the scene by the Knox County Sheriff’s Office, Fredericktown Fire/EMS and the Knox County coroner. The crash remains under investigation.
