Motorcyclist killed in crash with box truck on Boston Road in Springfield
SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) - A motorcyclist has died following a crash on Boston Road in Springfield Saturday night. Springfield Police Spokesperson Ryan Walsh stated that at approximately 11:10 p.m. on Saturday, officers were called to the 1600 block of Boston Road regarding a crash involving a box truck and a motorcycle. The motorcycle rider, an adult man, died from his injuries at the scene. A passenger on the motorcycle, an adult woman, was brought to Baystate Medical Center to be treated for injuries and is expected to recover. The box truck driver remained at the crash site and cooperated with police. The crash is being investigated by the Springfield Police Department Traffic Unit.
