Motorcyclist killed, 2 people injured in crash on Hughes overpass
One motorcyclist was killed and two more people were injured after a crash on Monday on the Hughes overpass. According to Amarillo police, two motorcycles were traveling north on Hughes when one lost control and collided head-on with the SUV. The driver of the motorcycle, identified as Travis Babcock, 31, was pronounced dead at the scene. The other motorcycle also lost control and crashed but avoided the SUV. The second motorcyclist and the SUV's driver were both hospitalized with life-threatening injuries.
