Motorcyclist hospitalized after crash in Mattydale
A motorcycle rider was taken to the hospital after colliding with an SUV in Mattydale on Sunday, July 12. According to the Onondaga County Sheriff's Office, Deputies were called to the intersection of E. Molloy Road and Brown Street around 11:35 Sunday morning. According to Public Information Officer Doug Roser, the SUV was turning left onto East Molloy Road when the motorcyclist collided with the side of the vehicle. The motorcycle rider, a man, was taken by ambulance to the hospital where he is listed in critical condition, Roser said. The driver of the SUV stayed on the scene and is cooperating with authorities. The motorcycle was street legal, according to Roser. No tickets have been issued at this time, and the investigation into the circumstances leading up to the crash is ongoing.
