Bailey man dead in fatal collision in Craven County
CRAVEN COUNTY, N.C. (WNCT) -- The North Carolina State Highway Patrol said they responded to a fatal collision on U.S. 70 in Craven County. Officials said the incident occurred near mile-marker 436 on July 13 where a rollback tow truck traveling eastbound traveled partially off the roadway and entered the median and struck the median cable barrier. According to the authorities, the rollback, driven by Tracy Perry, 49, overturned and came to rest on its roof. Perry died at the scene. No other vehicles were involved, and Perry was the sole occupant of the rollback, according to the North Carolina Highway Patrol.
