Serious injuries reported after crash involving car, garbage truck in Lyme
LYME, Conn. (WTNH) — Serious injuries were reported Monday evening after a crash involving a car and a garbage truck in Lyme. The crash was reported to Connecticut State Police around 5:39 p.m. at the 100 block of Hamburg Road. The road is closed to traffic at Tiffany Farms. Eastbound traffic can use Cove Road or Beaverbrook Road as an alternate route. The road is expected to remain closed until 8 p.m. The investigaiton is ongoing, state police said.
