Deadly road rage incident claims life of innocent 25-year-old driver

OKLAHOMA CITY (KFOR) — A road rage incident on Monday morning has now turned deadly after the driver of a vehicle not involved was hit head-on and later died. According to the Oklahoma City Police Department, just before 7 a.m. on Monday, officers responded to the scene near SW 59th Street and Highway 152 following reports of a vehicle collision. Two vehicles were traveling northbound on Highway 152, driving recklessly and engaging in an alleged road rage incident. One of the vehicles entered the inside lane in front of the other vehicle before hitting it and rolling multiple times into the southbound lanes of Highway 152 and striking a southbound driver head-on. The victim, later identified as 25-year-old Sharon Herrera, was transported to a local hospital, where she shortly died after arrival. Herrera also had a child in the backseat of her vehicle, but the child was not injured. The driver of the vehicle that rolled multiple times suffered a broken arm and shoulder, while the driver of the other vehicle was not injured.
