Motorcyclist hospitalized after being hit by a suspected drunk driver
A motorcycle rider was sent to the hospital after being hit by a suspected Drunk driver police say. Police responded to a report of a traffic accident in the area of Ashland and Bond Avenues just before 9:30 p.m. on Saturday. According to the investigation, a 21-year-old motorcycle rider was traveling eastbound on Ashlan when an SUV turned left and crashed right into him. When officers arrived, they found the motorcycle rider lying on the sidewalk. The rider was taken to a nearby hospital. Police say the driver of the SUV, a man in his 50s, showed signs of impairment and was arrested on suspicion of DUI.
