Motorcyclist dead, one other injured after crash in South Salt Lake, 3300 south closed for several hours
SOUTH SALT LAKE, Utah (ABC4) — One person is dead, and another is injured after a motorcycle and a vehicle collided in South Salt Lake. According to South Salt Lake Police (SSLPD), the crash occurred at approximately 3:46 p.m. in the intersection of 3300 S. 200 East. A Mazda and a motorcycle collided in the intersection, causing injuries to both parties. The driver of the Mazda was transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, but the motorcyclist was pronounced deceased on scene. 3300 South is currently closed in both directions from State St. to 300 East and will be for several hours, according to SSLPD. Drivers are asked to avoid the area and seek alternate routes if possible. Police extend their sincerest condolences to the family of the deceased. The cause of the crash remains under investigation, and there is no further information available at this time.
