Motorcyclist dead after Rivers Avenue crash: NCPD
NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCBD) - Officers with the North Charleston Police Department are continuing an investigation into a fatal crash that occurred on Rivers Avenue on Wednesday. The collision happened at approximately 4:45 p.m. at the intersection of Rivers Avenue and Dalton Street on Wednesday between a vehicle and a motorcycle. The roadway was temporarily closed after the collision to allow crews to investigate. Officers say the investigation suggests the vehicle was making a lawful right turn when the motorcyclist struck the vehicle. The motorcyclist died as a result of the crash. Crews with NCPD's Traffic Unit, as well as the Charleston County Coroner's Office, continue to investigate the incident. As of now, officers do not anticipate charges against the driver of the vehicle.
