Motorcyclist critically injured in Syracuse crash, police investigating

Syracuse Police are investigating a motorcycle crash that left a man with serious injuries Sunday evening. According to police, officers responded to the intersection of North Franklin Street and West Willow Street around 7:25 p.m. on June 21 for a reported motor vehicle collision. When officers arrived, they found a crash involving a motorcycle and a sedan. Police said the 34-year-old male motorcyclist suffered serious injuries and was transported by American Medical Response to Upstate University Hospital. He remains in critical but stable condition. The driver of the sedan was evaluated at the scene by EMS personnel and was not transported to the hospital. A preliminary investigation indicates the motorcyclist was traveling southbound on North Franklin Street when the collision occurred. Police said the crash happened within the intersection. The Syracuse Police Department’s Traffic Division responded to the scene and is continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding the crash.
