Motorcycle passenger died after crash in Huntingdon, driver still in ICU

HUNTINGDON, Pa. (WTAJ) -- A Huntingdon woman was pronounced dead Monday, after a motorcycle crash left her and the driver in the Intensive Care Unit. The crash happened May 16 when a Harley-Davidson crashed into a BMW on Penn Street (Route 26) at around 2:14 p.m. The passenger, 23-year-old Abigail Henney, was thrown 20 feet. Henney and the motorcycle driver were rushed to Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center and placed in the ICU. On Monday, May 18, Henney was pronounced dead from brain injury at 1 p.m., according to Cambria County Coroner Jeff Lees. The driver remains in the ICU. State police noted in their original report that both were wearing motorcycle helmets. The driver of the BMW was taken to Penn Highlands Huntingdon for suspected minor injuries. Pennsylvania State Police out of Huntingdon continue to investigate.
