Motorcycle crash shuts down Georgetown Township intersection
GEORGETOWN TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) — Deputies are responding to a crash involving a car and a motorcycle in Georgetown Township Thursday morning. It happened around 6:15 a.m. at Baldwin and Main streets. The Ottawa County Sheriff's Office described it as an "injury crash" but did not immediately release any further details. As of 7:30 a.m., deputies were on scene and the intersection was shut down. It was expected to remain closed "for an extended period of time." The westbound I-196 exit ramp to Baldwin Street was also shut down for about two hours, the Michigan Department of Transportation reported. The ramp reopened around 10:15 a.m. Drivers should seek an alternate route.
