Motorcycle accident at Strawberry Ridge prompts search and rescue response

WASATCH COUNTY, Utah (ABC4) — A motorcycle accident on Thursday evening prompted a search and rescue response. Wasatch County Search and Rescue crews responded to a motorcycle accident at Strawberry Ridge at approximately 10 p.m. on Thursday. An injured party was observed upon arrival. The search and recuse was able to transport the patient, along with his motorcycle, off the mountain. While there were no fatalities reported in Thursday's crash, it serves as a reminder to stay educated and practice vehicle safety. In 2025, Utah reported a record number of 72 motorcycle fatalities, with over 75% of the riders not having a motorcycle endorsement and less than 10% taking a safety course. The Utah Department of Public Safety believes that many of the deaths were preventable and launched a statewide safety campaign, Ride to Live Utah, to educate riders. Alexa McFadden contributed to this reporting.
