Mother in Colorado reports son's death and critical injuries to two other children in Lakewood collision; driver taken into custody

A tragedy occurred in the Denver metro area last weekend when a collision near Kipling Parkway and West 6th Avenue left one child brain-dead and two others in critical condition. The incident involved an SUV driven by 22-year-old Andrew Logan Miller, who was arrested following the crash. The SUV collided with a bus carrying a wrestling team from Central High School. The injured siblings, identified by their grieving mother Suleyma Gonzalez as Julio Gonzalez, Analelly Gonzalez, and Christopher Gonzalez, were all riding in the SUV. Julio is brain-dead, while Analelly and Christopher are in comas. Gonzalez described her children as dedicated students and ROTC members. The investigation is ongoing, with speed believed to have played a significant role in the crash. Miller, who was dating Gonzalez's daughter, is facing multiple charges, including vehicular assault and child abuse. Julio's organs will be donated. Gonzalez, a single mother, is focused on her surviving children and seeking answers amidst this difficult time.
