Monroe Police Department investigating fatal crash at the intersection of Oliver Road and Forsythe Avenue
MONROE, La. (KTVE/KARD) -- On Tuesday, July 14, 2026, at approximately 3:07 p.m., officers with the Monroe Police Department responded to a fatal crash at the intersection of Oliver Road and Forsythe Avenue in Monroe. Officials said the crash occurred when a Chevrolet Cruze attempted to make a left turn in front of an oncoming Chevrolet Tahoe. Both the driver and passenger of the Cruze sustained serious injuries and were transported to a local hospital. Authorities said the passenger of the Cruze was later pronounced dead. Monroe Police Department officials said toxicology reports are still pending.
