Missing Chicago-area man who refused medical treatment after car crash found dead
BLUE ISLAND, Ill. — The body of missing 115 Bourbon Street employee, Dan Davis, was found Monday. Davis went missing in November after leaving the bar, located at 3359 W. 115th Street in Merrionette Park, at around 1:15 a.m. Prior to that, Davis was involved in a car accident and was dropped off at 115 Bourbon Street by the police. He refused medical treatment and body cam footage later showed him nearly slipping on the curb after getting dropped off. Davis' body was found Monday afternoon near the 3300 block of Wireton Road in Blue Island. His daughter, Wendy, has spent several months trying to find him and helped organize the Facebook group "Find Dan Davis." “He’s a huge goofball and there’s never a serious moment between me and him,” she told WGN News back in December. “99 percent of [our]memories are laughing at dumb stuff and being silly together.” She was able to gather surveillance images of Davis throughout Blue Island and the group conducted several searches. Davis was a longtime lighting employee at 115 Bourbon Street and staff called him "family." He was 59. Wendy Davis released a statement Tuesday afternoon, which reads: "He was this part of the family"
