‘Miraculous’: 6-vehicle crash in Orangevale leaves 1 person injured
(FOX40.COM) — Officers with the California Highway Patrol are investigating a six-vehicle crash that left one person with minor injuries on Wednesday afternoon in Orangevale. According to CHP, the collision occurred earlier in the day on Greenback Lane near Kenneth Avenue and involved six vehicles. Officials said that despite the number of vehicles involved, only one person was injured in what CHP described as a “miraculous” outcome. CHP said the injured person sustained minor injuries. Investigators reported that driving under the influence is not suspected. The preliminary cause of the crash appears to be unsafe speed. Traffic in the area remained slow-moving following the collision as crews worked at the scene and vehicles were cleared from the roadway. Officials urged drivers to use caution while traveling through the area and reminded motorists to avoid distractions, wear seat belts, use turn signals, check blind spots before changing lanes and allow extra time and space when approaching slowing or stopped traffic. At this time, the cause of the crash has not been determined.
