Juvenile dead, three others injured in Ross County head-on crash
ADELPHI, Ohio (WCMH) — A child is dead and three others were injured in a head-on crash that occurred in Ross County Wednesday evening. According to the Ohio State Highway Patrol, troopers arrived to a crash scene on State Route 327, south of Adelphi in Colerain Township, where reports of a two-vehicle crash were received at 7:53 p.m. Wednesday. The OSHP said that a 2010 Chevrolet Malibu containing three people was traveling north on S.R. 327 and veered left of the center line. It struck a 2008 Ram 1500 head-on, causing injuries to all four people involved. The driver of the Malibu, of nearby Laurelville, was taken to a Columbus hospital via Med Flight with unknown injuries. A juvenile passenger was also flown to Columbus, but their condition was not released. A second juvenile passenger was taken to Chillicothe Adena Regional Medical Center and was pronounced dead. The driver of the Ram, a Circleville man, was taken to a Chillicothe hospital and treated for minor injuries. Fire and rescue teams from Scioto Township, Harrison Township, Green Township and Colerain Township assisted at the crash scene, which remains under investigation.
