Milwaukee ex-bus driver faces homicide charge for deadly incident in Greenfield.
A former Milwaukee County Transit System (MCTS) bus driver named Dameon Demetr Peters, aged 55, is facing charges in connection to a tragic November incident in Greenfield where a 61-year-old pedestrian lost his life. Peters has been charged with homicide by intoxicated use of a vehicle with a prohibited alcohol concentration. The fatal crash occurred at the intersection of 56th Street and Forest Home Avenue, resulting in the death of George Kayser. According to court documents, Peters allegedly had a blood alcohol content of 0.236 at the time of the incident. Video evidence from the bus allegedly shows Peters exhibiting concerning behavior while driving, including driving with one eye closed and being unable to maintain his lane.
