Milwaukee bus driver sacked following deadly accident at 56th and Forest Home.
The Milwaukee County Transit System terminated a bus driver following a deadly accident that claimed the life of 61-year-old George Kayser near 56th Street and Forest Home Avenue in Greenfield just before Thanksgiving. The incident, which occurred on Nov. 22, deeply affected the neighborhood, as witnesses described the heartbreaking situation. A resident, Maureen Fox, recounted receiving a call from her daughter about a tragic crash involving a Milwaukee County Transit bus and Kayser. Despite efforts to save him through CPR, Kayser succumbed to head injuries shortly after the accident. The driver of the bus, a 55-year-old individual, was not arrested on the spot but was later dismissed from employment after an internal investigation by the transit system. Greenfield police are still investigating the crash, refraining from making any immediate criminal charges until further evidence is gathered. Meanwhile, the Kayser family has launched a GoFundMe campaign in memory of their loved one, describing his passing as sudden and saddening. As the driver in question has not been charged, his identity remains undisclosed. If you wish to contribute to the fund set up for Kayser, you can access the GoFundMe link provided.
