Medical emergency suspected in deadly Shreveport crash
SHREVEPORT, La. (KTAL/KMSS) — The Shreveport Police Department has launched an investigation into a tragic single-vehicle crash that resulted in the death of the driver at the intersection of Interstate 20 West and Bert Kouns Industrial Loop. Officers responded to the scene after receiving reports that a vehicle had veered off the roadway. When they arrived, they found a white Ford Expedition involved in the incident. According to the police, preliminary findings suggest that the driver may have experienced a medical emergency before the crash. However, the exact cause of the crash remains under investigation. The driver, an adult male, was pronounced dead at the scene, prompting the involvement of the Shreveport Police Department’s Crash Investigation Unit. Currently, no additional injuries have been reported in relation to the accident, and updates will be provided as the investigation continues.
