McAllen nightclub named in report on fatal crash involving intoxicated individuals

A recent affidavit obtained by ValleyCentral contains new information regarding the single-vehicle crash in McAllen that resulted in the death of one passenger and serious injuries to six others. An 18-year-old individual named Gabriela Nunez Garcia has been arrested and charged with intoxication manslaughter and five counts of intoxication assault. The affidavit reveals that, according to a passenger's statement, all occupants, including the driver, had been drinking at Noxx Nightclub in downtown McAllen before the accident. Efforts to contact Noxx Nightclub for comment were unsuccessful. The passengers, aged 18 to 25, were riding in a Ford Bronco involved in the crash. McAllen Mayor Javier Villalobos has called for increased enforcement in the 17th Street Entertainment District following the incident. The crash occurred on N. Bicentennial Blvd. in the early hours of November 29. One passenger died from injuries sustained in the crash, while others suffered various injuries requiring medical treatment, including surgeries. Garcia, the driver, underwent surgery and was subsequently taken into custody, later being released on bond. ValleyCentral has chosen not to disclose the names of the passengers to protect their privacy.
