Mayor of Green River dies in head-on collision with semi-truck

In Green River, Utah, the mayor tragically lost his life in a head-on collision with a semi-truck on Friday evening. The Utah Dept. of Public Safety identified the deceased as a 40-year-old man, while the city of Green River confirmed the loss of Mayor Ren Hatt on social media. The accident occurred at 9:40 p.m. on Dec. 5 when a Freightliner semi-truck traveling westbound on Highway 6 collided with a Hyundai Palisade heading eastbound near Green River. Mayor Hatt, driving the Hyundai, was fatally injured in the collision. The investigation is ongoing, with no suspicion of impairment. Gov.
