Massive 100-car crash on I-196 in Hudsonville causing traffic chaos in West Michigan
A major car pileup involving over 100 vehicles, including numerous semis, occurred on I-196 in the Hudsonville and Zeeland area amid severe snow and wind on Monday morning. The highway is shut down in both directions between exit 62 to Hudsonville and exit 55 to Zeeland, according to the Ottawa County Sheriff's Office, and is expected to remain closed for several hours. Thankfully, all nine to 12 injured individuals have been transported to hospitals, with no reported fatalities. Stranded drivers were assisted by authorities and taken to Hudsonville High School to seek shelter and make necessary arrangements.
