MassDOT worker injured in hit-and-run crash on Mass. Pike in Wilbraham, woman charged
WILBRAHAM, Mass. (WWLP) - A Monson woman is facing multiple charges after Massachusetts State Police said she struck a MassDOT worker on I-90 and allegedly left the scene Tuesday night. According to preliminary information sent to 22News from the Massachusetts State Police, a MassDOT crew reported around 10:22 p.m. that a white SUV traveling eastbound on I-90 (Mass. Pike) drove through a roadwork detail site set up in the left lane in Wilbraham State Police said the SUV was operating without its headlights on when it entered the work zone. A MassDOT worker, who was standing outside a work vehicle, was struck by the SUV. The injured MassDOT worker was taken to a nearby hospital and is expected to recover. Investigators said the driver continued traveling after the crash and was later found stopped in the breakdown lane a short distance away. Police arrested 35-year-old Danielle Drouillard of Monson. She is charged with the following: Drouillard is scheduled to be arraigned Tuesday in Palmer District Court. 22News will be in court and update this story as new details are released.
