Fatal crash involving semi, pickup reported near Merkel
TAYLOR COUNTY, Texas (KTAB/KRBC) - A Sunday evening crash has claimed the life of at least one person near Merkel. The crash occurred on the I-20 frontage road near Exit 269 on the northeast side of Merkel. According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the crash involved a semi-truck and a pickup truck towing a trailer. DPS has confirmed at least one fatality.
