Man taken to hospital after crash in Ottawa County
A man in Olive Township, Michigan had to be rescued from his vehicle and airlifted to a hospital in Grand Rapids following a two-vehicle crash in Ottawa County. The incident occurred on Wednesday afternoon when the driver of a Honda Accord failed to stop for a sign at 96th Avenue and collided with a Ford Escape. Both vehicles caught fire during the accident but the passengers of the Ford were able to escape with minor injuries. The driver of the Honda, a 60-year-old man, was critically injured and had to be extracted by first responders before being transported to a nearby hospital and later airlifted to Grand Rapids for further medical care. The Ottawa County Sheriff's Office is currently investigating the crash.
