Man killed in overnight crash in Onondaga
TOWN OF ONONDAGA, N.Y. (WSYR-TV) -- One man is dead after a single-vehicle accident in the Town of Onondaga. Deputies responded to an automated iPhone crash alert in the area of Kasson Road and West Seneca Turnpike just before 3 a.m., according to a statement from the Onondaga County Sheriff's Office. At the scene, they found a Ford Explorer in a ditch on the west side of Kasson Road. The driver, the only person in the vehicle, was found unresponsive. The driver was treated at the scene before being taken to Upstate University Hospital, where he died. He was pronounced dead around 4:20 a.m. The cause of the crash remains under active investigation.
