Man flown from crash in Mercer County
PERRY TWP., Pa. (WKBN) -- A man was flown by a medical helicopter to the hospital following a crash in Mercer County Tuesday. The crash happened just after 4 p.m. at the intersection of Route 19 and Ohle Road. According to the Pennsylvania State Patrol (PSP), the 56-year-old man from Clarks Mills, Pa., was hurt when a 21-year-old driver of a Ram 2500 van failed to stop at the intersection and hit the Clarks Mills man, who was driving a Honda Accord. Both vehicles spun out in the crash, with the vehicle driven by the Clarks Mills man hitting a guardrail and ending up in a wooded area. He was flown by a medical helicopter to St. Elizabeth Hospital with serious injuries, according to PSP. The 21-year-old driver was not hurt.
