Man dies in motorcycle crash near West Plains
HOWELL COUNTY, Mo. — A 21-year-old man from West Plains has died in a motorcycle crash on Tuesday evening. According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol (MSHP), a 2026 CF Moto Motorcycle was traveling east on County Road 8240, two miles east of West Plains, at around 6:15 p.m. At around 6:15 p.m., the motorcycle ran off the left side of the road while trying to make a sharp turn at a curve on the roadway and struck a stump, MSHP says. The 21-year-old driver was pronounced dead at the scene by the Howell County Coroner. His next of kin has been notified of his passing. This is the 13th fatality in MSHP Troop G in 2026.
