Man dies after crash at Westchester Drive, Wickliffe Avenue in High Point
HIGH POINT, N.C. (WGHP) — A man is dead after a crash on Westchester Drive in High Point, according to police. At about 2:15 p.m. on Wednesday, police responded to a crash involving two vehicles at the intersection of Westchester Drive and Wickliffe Avenue. At the scene, they found Fredrick Simon Lutz, 79, of High Point. He was taken to a hospital where he later died. Two others who were in the other vehicle were taken to a hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries. Officers believe Lutz was driving on Westchester Drive when he turned left on Wickliffe Avenue into the path of an oncoming vehicle. Police say no charges will be filed.
