Man dead after e-bike crash on Frederick Douglass Memorial Bridge

A man is dead after an e-bike crash on Frederick Douglass Memorial Bridge, according to officials. According to the Metropolitan Police Department, officers were first dispatched to an accident involving an e-bike on South Capitol Street on the outbound side of the bridge. SEE ALSO: 5 rescued from burning boat in the Potomac River MPD said when officers arrived, they found an unconscious man who was suffering from trauma injuries and wasn't breathing. Police said Fire and EMS responded to the scene and took the man to the hospital, but after all lifesaving efforts failed, he was pronounced dead. MPD said no one else was involved in the crash except for the e-bike and the victim.
