Man dead after car crashes, overturns in Lakeland
MEMPHIS, Tenn. -- A man is now dead after a car accident in Lakeland on Thursday night, according to the Shelby County Sheriff's Office. Deputies say they were called to a one-vehicle crash with injuries in the 10600 block of Mem-Arlington Road around 9:55 p.m. The vehicle left the roadway and struck a culvert, causing it to overturn. A male was found unresponsive on the scene by deputies when they arrived, and life-saving measures were immediately taken. The Shelby County Fire crews took the man to Regional One Hospital in critical condition, where he later died. This is still an active and ongoing investigation.
