Man arrested for assault following car accident claim
DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) – A man was arrested in the early hours of Monday, May 4, after a suspicious circumstances call. According to the Dayton Police Department, officers met with a 64-year-old man who said he’d been in a car accident near the intersection of Third Street and James H. McGee Boulevard. The man claimed his vehicle was disabled and wanted help getting home. However, while officers drove him home, he made several comments that led officers to investigate further. Officers located a man’s vehicle with a blown-out tire and dried blood inside. Upon further investigation, they located a 63-year-old woman who was in the car with the male. She stated that the man had struck her multiple times. The 64-year-old man was later arrested and booked into Montgomery County Jail.
