Man, 65, dies in Sandusky County crash
FREMONT — The Ohio State Highway Patrol's Fremont post is investigating a single-vehicle fatal car crash occurring just before 5:30 p.m. Saturday on County Road 62 near County Road 80 in Jackson Township, Sandusky County. A report details what allegedly occurred: • A Jeep Commander, operated by Doyle B. Durst, 65, of Bettsville, was eastbound on County Road 62 when it drove off the right side of the roadway. • "Durst then overcorrected, causing the vehicle to travel off the left side of the roadway where it struck an embankment and overturned." • Durst was ejected from his vehicle and succumbed to fatal injuries at the scene."
