GOLDSBORO, N.C. (WNCN) -- Two people were airlifted among 11 injured from the site of a major crash in east Goldsboro early Saturday afternoon, officials said. The crash involving at least five vehicles was reported just after 12:45 p.m. on U.S. 70 eastbound at North Oak Forest Road, according to Wayne County officials. According to video clips from the scene, a tractor-trailer plowed into several cars that were stopped at a traffic signal near the Chevrolet dealership. U.S. 70 eastbound is closed at N. Oak Forest Road, according to NCDOT maps. A total of 11 patients were treated or transported, with two being flown to ECU Health Medical Center in Greenville, the Goldsboro Police Department said in a news release. The tractor-trailer in the video appeared to be from TAG Transportation, which has its own drivers and vehicles and also allows drivers to lease a truck and trailer.
