Major backup on I-390 south in Gates after dump truck crash
Gates, N.Y. — A stretch of Interstate 390 southbound is seeing a severe traffic backup Thursday afternoon following a crash. The crash appears to have involved a dump truck near exit 19 at Chili Avenue. The incident led to a fuel spill and shut down three of the four southbound lanes in the area, according to the New York State 511 page . As of 2:30 p.m., traffic on 390 remains backed up from Chili Avenue to the I-490 interchange. It's unclear at this time if anyone was hurt in the crash. This is a developing story.
