Liam Gleason, a renowned lacrosse coach at Siena University and alumni of UAlbany, recently suffered severe injuries in an accident at his home. Following this unfortunate event, a fundraising campaign was launched on GoFundMe by Julia F from Clifton Park, New York, with the goal of $300,000. The campaign has already surpassed $200,000, reaching $219,524 with support from over 1,500 donors. The initiative aims to assist Coach Gleason's wife and children during this challenging time. Gleason's family is facing emotional and financial difficulties after he sustained a serious head injury on November 30. Known for his positive impact on others, the campaign describes Liam as a loving father, husband, and coach who brightens the lives of those around him. The Siena lacrosse coach, who had plans to continue coaching until 2026, is currently hospitalized following the incident. Siena University has requested thoughts and prayers for Coach Gleason and his family. Liam Gleason's wife, Jaclyn, was a soccer player at UAlbany, and they have three children together. Gleason, a Long Island native, has received recognition as the MAAC Coach of the Year and led the Siena Saints to their first championship title since 2014.
