Lake City man dies in tractor accident involving tree
A Lake City man died Sunday evening after hitting a tree with his tractor. According to Erie County Coroner Lyell Cook, calls for the accident in a field in the 2200 block of Maple Avenue came in just around 5 pm Sunday evening. Cook said 61-year-old Francis Wozniak of Lake City was working on the tractor when he went around a tree and struck a branch, causing the tree to fall on him. Wozniak was declared dead at the scene with Cook ruling the death as accidental.
