Kingsville Police Investigate Officer's Fatal Crash
A tragic midday collision has resulted in the loss of one Kingsville Police officer. The incident occurred at the intersection of East Caesar Avenue and 8th Street, where a 2000 Ford pickup made a left turn in front of a 2025 Yamaha motorcycle. The motorcyclist, identified as 35-year-old Moises Castillo, tragically succumbed to his injuries despite efforts by witnesses and first responders. The driver of the pickup sustained minor injuries. The Texas DPS Highway Patrol is assisting with the investigation. Castillo, a former firefighter who was due to join the Kingsville Police Department, had an extensive career in public service and military experience as a U.S. Marine Corps veteran.
